Is your group at risk?
Type your PTO, booster club or youth league’s name, town, or EIN. We’ll show what the IRS’s public records say about its yearly e-Postcard. Free, nothing to sign up for.
Illinois groups that file the e-Postcard (Form 990-N), plus Illinois school and youth groups the IRS revoked since mid-2024. IRS data as of October 5, 2026; very recent filings may not show yet.
What the results mean
- Up to date: the IRS shows your latest e-Postcard. Nice work.
- 1 year missing: no penalty, but don’t let it slide. Three missed years in a row and the IRS removes your tax-exempt status automatically.
- 2 years missing: one more miss and your status is revoked on your next due date. File the missed years before then.
- Revoked: donations to your group aren’t tax-deductible until it’s reinstated. Small groups that apply within 15 months can usually get it backdated so there’s no gap.
